Surrealism is me

Today in 1989 Salvador Dali died.
Dali was a Spanish (from Catalonia) Surrealist artist, born in 1904.
Dali experimented almost all kinds of art: painting, sculpture, photography, film making, designing theater sets, interiors of fashionable shops, and jewelry. But he' is mostly known for his extra-ordinary paintings.
Some of the main subjects of his paintings are childhood memories and his wife, Gala.
Many paintings contain regular objects that were transformed in a bizarre way, or in their size or location, very often found in a weird landscape.

When Dali was expelled from the Surrealist movement, he was quoted as saying "Surrealism is me".
