No doubt Van Gogh is the most famous artist ever.
Even someone who knows nothing about art would recognize a typical Van Gogh (and would probably like it). I guess he would also know some "juicy" details about his life - like cutting his ear...
If this someone is a little more interested in art, he might as well know about the relationship with his brother Theo, and that he had sold only one painting in his life, and that his art had a tremendous influence over the art history.
OK, I understand that you already know all this, but I bet you haven't seen these artworks that are inspired by Van Gogh:
Lunar Starry Night Drawing by Jerry Mac
Van Gogh Illustration by Gabriel Fraga
Van Gogh's Starry Night Ornament by Mia
Van Gogh in"Art History Via Giraffes" by Martin Missfeldt

OMG I LOVE VAN GOGH!!!!! I want to buy that starry night dress so badly!!!!!! Thats is my favy painting!!!!!!! I LOVE THE CAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! RIP Van Gogh:Let his paintings and him be remembered forever
Painting Van Gogh's cat really brought it home to me how difficult his style was, and what a shame it is that his work was not recognised in his lifetime. I would really loved to have met him.
I also painted 'Behind Van Gogh's Head' as well as 'Van Gogh's Cat'. Thanks for showing one of them here!
