Today, 16 years ago (20.1.1993), the beautiful actress Audrey Hepburn died of cancer at the age of 63.
She was born in 1929 in Belgium, and was raised in The Netherlands during the Second World War.
She studied ballet and drama in London. She began her acting career in the theater, and became one of the most successful film actresses in the world.
She's also known for her humanitarian work for UNICEF in disadvantaged communities of Africa, South America and Asia.
